The most common cause of
back pain comes from giving the muscles in your back more stress and
strain than they are use to handling. Lifting heavy items or even performing
some simple chore can aggravate a back and cause a spasm or strain.
Once this has occurred, the next step is getting some pain management.
Lower Back Pain Management
Other than taking it easy
for awhile, there are some other things that you can do for the management
of your pain after you strain your back. You can take some OTC (over-the-counter)
pain medications or you can take some natural pain relief supplements
such as those that are featured above. Getting the proper amount of
rest is going to be the key to the management of your back pain.
Lie on your back on a hard
surface and place pillows under your knees. Use enough pillows so that
your hips and knees are off the floor. Keep your knees bent. You might
want to rest your feet on a chair to make this easier to do. This type
of back stress management is intended to take the pressure and weight
off your back.
If you do this for a couple
of days you should start to see some relief. It is also important that
you get up every hour or so and walk around a bit. This will help to
keep your circulation moving properly and to keep your back muscles
from deteriorating. If your back problems do not improve and you are
still experiencing lower back pain after trying this type of management,
you should contact your doctor.
