Knee joint pain can develop
gradually over a period of days or weeks. In the beginning, the pain
can be mild and intermittent but it usually gets worse over time. The
muscles and tendons of the knee can get stressed beyond their capabilities
fairly easily. This causes inflammation and which can and will cause
pain. Inflammation is your bodies natural response the the injury as
the body tries to heal itself.
You can find relief by getting
plenty of rest and immobilizing your knee. There are also some natural
pain relief remedies that you can use, such as the products that you
can buy on this page. You could also use some other form of pain relief
medicine but be sure to check with your doctor before you buy or use
any type of medication.
Knee Pain Prevention
In an attempt to prevent
knee pain, you should keep the muscles that support your knees strong
and flexible. Remember that you should always learn to walk before you
can run. You should probably walk for about a month before you try jogging.
If a simple walk causes knee pain then you definitely should not try
running. You also need to warm up and stretch before working out, going
for a walk or jogging.
Make sure that you are wearing
supportive footwear. This is especially important if you walk or jog
on hard surfaces. If possible, try to do your walking on a semi-soft
surface. Another thing that you can do to prevent knee joint pain is
to keep your weight under control. The less you weigh, the less stress
you will be putting on your knees.
